Because of exams, I’ve been sleeping with boxes and living out of the suitcase for about two weeks after I FINALLY moved into my new home. So, this holiday I decided to be good and stay home to pack my house. And argh, it’s a tiring process.

Still, there’s always time for some rest and relax moments. Managed to have lunch and a fun chat with Huat, and his recommendation of this Jap restaurant in Orchard Central – Ootoya is definitely commendable! Authentic Japanese food and reasonable prices. I thought the pork katsu was excellent!

But I don’t fancy shopping at Orchard Central, the mall layout is not very “shopper friendly”. Instead, I heart ION Orchard, and I think I went there three times in a week. Haha! Was there shopping with YY, then met Cindy and the three of us had a crazy time immersing ourselves in the festive mood, tis a season to be jolly lalalalalalalalala~

After a long time, this group of JC buddies had a “very punctual gathering” where none of us were very late. You know, not very late is quite as good as punctual.

Always feel great to have good friends coming back from their overseas posting. Though Pheng comes home pretty often, we always enjoy our “touristy acts” together.

Not forgetting to catch up with my dear family. Had dimsum at a Chinese restaurant in Excelsior Hotel, which serves decent dimsum buffet of good variety at affordable prices.

In midst of my semestral examination, I went to Genting with my Mum last weekend. What could have been such a huge “pull factor”?! I was there to watch a William So and Andy Hui concert. Yes, it’s William So. Yongkang!!

Like a “teenage fan”, I was all excited!

Hopefully it will be a solo in Singapore soon.

The hotel rooms up on Genting Highland were actually fully booked, so we had no choice but to stay in this one at midway of the Highland – Goh Tong Hall Residence. But, it was a pleasant surprise. It is where the Chin Swee Temple is, and I liked the peaceful feel of this place.

Great place to relax your mind and cleanse your soul.

Mum and I enjoyed ourselves breathing in the fresh air, making prayers in the temple, immersing in the beautiful scenery and trying out the simple yet delicious vegetarian food served in a restaurant.

Though we had a tight schedule, but we managed to have lots of fun over the weekend at Genting.

I’ve been BUSY.

Busy Attending Weddings.

First, it was WC and Rita’s. The surprise that WC gave Rita, singing Leslie Cheung’s classic-favourite Cantonese song 追 (means “Chase”) made many ladies “aww-ed” and teared I guess. It was a touching moment for the guests, but most importantly, it is definitely going to be the bride’s one of those sweetest memories.

Then, it was my good friends’ wedding. Both my long-time pals tied the knot after many years of dating, and I’m truly happy for them. TT and Joen, may love and joy surround your blissful marriage!

On the same day as TT and Joen’s, I attended another wedding. Travelled from Sentosa to Mandarin Oriental, it was tiring but I’m glad I made it to Char and YC’s wedding banquet. The food was good, especially the dessert with warm chocolate sauce oozing out of the soft chocolate cake, WOA! And Char looked stunning in her wedding dresses.

Realised I didn’t capture the couple. Guess I was brain-dead from fatigue.
But still, we all had heaps of fun.

Went on a holiday to Desaru with listeners over a weekend. Though it was a short getaway, but was packed with lots of fun! Here are some of my favourite moments…

How long haven’t I update my blog?

So long that I dint even know that wordpress has changed its site layout.

What have I been so busy with?

Work – preparing for new content
(so stay tuned to my show on 883Jia FM weekday 2-5pm!)

Studies – struggling with a new module

Home – pack, packing and more packing…
(I’ve moved out of my house, rented a friend’s place to stay before moving into my new house in Oct. Btw, I threw away 2/3 of my room. HA!)

Still, there’s always time for a breather. Glad that I spent some cozy times with my friends… and myself.

Sad that we’re taking less modules together, as we decided to follow a different pace due to our work commitment. But, it’s amazing how our friendship is still going strong. Maybe it’s fate, haha guess we’re just on the same frequency.

Was worried when I got to know Julian met a kitchen accident. Fortunately, he pulled through that tough period of time and is recovering very well. Still handsome, so don’t worry pal!

I know, Tom is a friend I can keep for life.

He has always been a very sweet friend. Though belated, he got me a birthday pressie – an external thumbdrive in gold colour. Very cool.

Birthday long passed, but lovely wishes keep flowing…

Huay gave me a sunblock as my belated birthday present. Very useful, I like. I was very impressed by how creative she is. See the picture on the right. She actually printed “Happy Birthday Ying” and “生日快乐” on a recycled paper and used it as a gift wrapper. Very innovative. And environmental-friendly.

I’m currently into this Taiwan writer 橘子’s (Orange) novels. This is one that I read recently:

Supported our sister station Power98’s event last Friday, more like I joined in some fun and had a great time at St James Powerhouse with a bunch of crankies.

I was thrilled to see some old friends, and was so happy that my dear girlfriend Zimin – a mother of one cute boy who had not club for more than two years finally decided to join me at the PARTY yay!!
