Smile with ME

I’ve been BUSY.

Busy Attending Weddings.

First, it was WC and Rita’s. The surprise that WC gave Rita, singing Leslie Cheung’s classic-favourite Cantonese song 追 (means “Chase”) made many ladies “aww-ed” and teared I guess. It was a touching moment for the guests, but most importantly, it is definitely going to be the bride’s one of those sweetest memories.

WC's wedding

The ladies at WC and Rita’s wedding.

Then, it was my good friends’ wedding. Both my long-time pals tied the knot after many years of dating, and I’m truly happy for them. TT and Joen, may love and joy surround your blissful marriage!

tt DAY

Day rituals of the wedding.

tt NIGHT

Solemnisation and banquet at night.

On the same day as TT and Joen’s, I attended another wedding. Travelled from Sentosa to Mandarin Oriental, it was tiring but I’m glad I made it to Char and YC’s wedding banquet. The food was good, especially the dessert with warm chocolate sauce oozing out of the soft chocolate cake, WOA! And Char looked stunning in her wedding dresses.

Char's Big Day

Realised I didn’t capture the couple. Guess I was brain-dead from fatigue.
But still, we all had heaps of fun.

Life has been pweety good for me, because there were

Parties…

access B or W

The Black or White Access98 Party @St James.

Life. is. good.

How long haven’t I update my blog?

So long that I dint even know that wordpress has changed its site layout.
GOSH.

What have I been so busy with?

Work – preparing for new content
(so stay tuned to my show on 883Jia FM weekday 2-5pm!)

Studies – struggling with a new module
(if you think you’re bilingual, try doing consecutive interpretation *vomit blood*.)

Home – pack, packing and more packing…
(I’ve moved out of my house, rented a friend’s place to stay before moving into my new house in Oct. Btw, I threw away 2/3 of my room. HA!)

Still, there’s always time for a breather. Glad that I spent some cozy times with my friends… and myself.

KTV with Fangs

Dine-and-sing (did I say dance too?) with Yo and Kong.

Sad that we’re taking less modules together, as we decided to follow a different pace due to our work commitment. But, it’s amazing how our friendship is still going strong. Maybe it’s fate, haha guess we’re just on the same frequency.

Mon with Julian

A relaxing brunch on a happy Monday with Julian.

Was worried when I got to know Julian met a kitchen accident. Fortunately, he pulled through that tough period of time and is recovering very well. Still handsome, so don’t worry pal!

Mon with Tom

I know, Tom is a friend I can keep for life.

He has always been a very sweet friend. Though belated, he got me a birthday pressie – an external thumbdrive in gold colour. Very cool.

inno wrapper

Birthday long passed, but lovely wishes keep flowing…

Huay gave me a sunblock as my belated birthday present. Very useful, I like. I was very impressed by how creative she is. See the picture on the right. She actually printed “Happy Birthday Ying” and “生日快乐” on a recycled paper and used it as a gift wrapper. Very innovative. And environmental-friendly.

I’m currently into this Taiwan writer 橘子’s (Orange) novels. This is one that I read recently:

orange dui mian

“在爱情与友情之间,有种东西叫做暧昧
在幸福与两难之间,有种选择叫做成全。”
- 《你的爱情,我在对面》,橘子

Just updating pictures of some past events, where I had loads of fun. There was Zaryine’s wedding early this month, which turned out to be more like a gathering  for us!

Za wedding

Check out our super overcrowded table.

Then, my good friend (who is posted in Shanghai) came home recently, so as usual we acted tourists and went around town to explore new stuffs.

Tourists Wannabe

Wherever we are (Shanghai or Singapore),
we will always be the crazy tourists wannabe!

jappy

You probably have seen it on food reviews, this Japanese restaurant
at Iluma (opp Bugis Junction) allows you to order food with an
“auto pen”. You don’t even have to speak to the waiters!

“Life is good, as long as you learn to appreciate its goodness.”

My friend asked me: Why are you hanging out with younger and younger people lately?

My answer is: Because they are more innocent. *SMILES*

Dinner with Kayler girl

Kayler cutie *siamed*, escaped from and ignored me.
Finally, she smiled! (all thanks to Mummy Grace’s singing heh)

Had a supposedly farewell gathering for Guoxing last week. Why supposedly? Because his trip is postponed, so we should be able to meet up again. Still, we had fun at his beautiful home.

Gathering at GX home

The duno-number-what-take using the self-timer function.
Till Guoxing “slept” and Weicheng got distracted by some tv ad.

WC and me

Different versions of my fave-shot-of-the-nite.

Some things that would trigger my happiness:

Travelling with great folks, and yes enjoying good food again.
(So thrilled when I got to eat the yummy fried cheong fun and best char siew again during my KL trip in May. Woho!!)

Baby Leyun

Baby-talking to the little ones.
(Congrats to you, Rui. And welcome, cutie Leyun!)

Photoshoot 2009 Candids

Cam-whoring. Watch out for new publicity photos of the Jia DJs!
(Though I concluded that I always look bad aka FAT in formal photoshoot, still the process of dolling up is fun!)

Happiness is like bubbles, short-lived but beautiful. But never mind, when one bursts, there are more coming your way, bigger and brighter ones.

It was not some kinda disappearance act.

My life was just very busy… and… a little messy lately.

But well, life goes on, whether you like it or not. Anyway, I’m good at “finding gold in shit”, so I found something to be happy about – my semestral exam is over, and which means I’m halfway through my course YAY!

Celebrated Mummy’s birthday last Saturday. Before dinner, we watched Night At The Museum 2, while munching on hotdogs. The movie was pretty entertaining, I laughed quite abit and so did Mummy (all thanks to the Chinese subtitles and a very cute monkey in the show).

Then, we had dinner at HEEREN’s Waraku Jap Dining. Time to check out the foodie!

Mums yums

I lurrrrrve the food!!

Mums drools

“Live To Eat”… My folks demonstrate.

Mums loves

“Mummy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”
Btw, did I tell you I like your hair colour? Hehe…

Just realised I haven’t posted these photos on my bloggie.

Visited sometime ago “The Tippling Club” at Dempsey where my dear chef friend – Julian works.

molecular-tippling

My first time experiencing molecular cuisine.

A fresh touch to my taste buds, but my advice is, don’t try when you’re really hungry, haha~

Worth a visit. Thanks Julian for your recommendations.

Dinner. Catch-up. Photo-taking.

Hottest topic for the night: Tom’s newly blossom love.
