Busy with kids.

Not my kids. Just another batch of “Campus Reporters”.

The 883Jia FM Campus Reporter Finals was held last Saturday at Heeren. It was a madly busy day for me, but it always makes me feel younger when I mix around with these energetic students, so well I had FUN anyway.

Crazy Goodbye

It was Fion’s last day yesterday, though it was only 103 days having her around, but we had a happy and memorable time together.

All the best to you, Fion! But I’m sorry you will have to behave yourself at your next workplace, because I’m quite sure you can’t find such crazy colleagues as adorable as US!

For good times and bad, WE rock!

Jia Birthday… photos as promised.

Jia Birthday

Haven’t got time to update my blog as I was suffocated with preparing for our station’s birthday event and meeting tutorial deadlines at the same time, *phew* I’m truly glad that all went well.

The birthday party last night at St James Movida was a success with a wonderful turn up of 600 over people!

My most sincere thanks to all listeners who joined us at the party, and all the fantastic people who have helped in one way or another.

Cosplaying

Was pretty clueless about cosplay initially, until I was assigned to host the Cosplay Challenge 2009 event held at Singapore Discovery Centre.

I learnt that it’s not only about anime, but these cosplayers also put in alot of time, effort and hard work to understand the characters, sew their costumes and create their own “weapons”.

Many of them are very young, like I met one who is only 14 years old, but they are all very passionate about this hobby, and they picked up useful skills like operating the sewing machine.

Most importantly, they experienced the meaning of determination.

Sometimes we can live out of reality for a while in life to make us happy.

 

年轻本色

I used to think that mine is a rare disease, this verbal disorder that I’ve been suffering from.

Until I met this bunch of kids, they can yak and yak non stop. I tried to shut off from them, but their voices just keep ringing in my ears, like water trapped in my ears after a swim *gua wa wa wa…*

Sometimes, they give me a headache. But well, to be fair, they make me laugh a whole lot too.
