Just Boliao

Maybe it’s post festive down-syndrome, or Shawn’s marriage triggered off my sentimental nerves. Whatever it is, on a couldn’t-get-to-sleep night, I dug out a photo album from my cupboard and found these… …

groupie

Those were the days.

gals-in-the-past

Hmm… we didn’t age alot what. Did we?!

cny

The usual visiting at my home during CNY.

fours

We took countless photos together.
Of course, I skipped the horrible ones.

MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Wishing you GOOD HEALTH, TRUE LOVE and HAPPINESS and… …

wealth

ABUNDANCE OF WEALTH!!! :)

I can proudly say that 80% of my life, I work at getting things done efficiently and straight to the point. BUT when it comes to academic issues, sad to say I adopt escapism at times.

I should be rushing my tutorial now, and the DEADline is today at 12am, but thanks to my brother in law Steven who sent me this link (yes I’m pushing blame), I was busy matching my face to the different “old time looks”.

Hm, I kinda like myself in that straight long hair + turtleneck 1974-look:

(top L-R): hairspray bangs, 1960-look, cat eye glasses 1954-look
(centre L-R): 1984-look, mini skirts days 1964-look, 1974-look
(bottom L-R): bob hair 1966-look, 1950-look, 1962-look

So which image do you think suits me best? Try this out youself!

Ok enough of my escapism doings. Scrambling back to my tutorial… Argh this module, Contrastive Analysis of English and Chinese Languages is nerve-wrecking!

Some changes surprise me.
I used to dislike coffee, in fact iced coffee upsets my stomach.
But now, I like coffee
Or I should say I’m addicted to coffee,
Two “dosages” daily perks me up.
I used to hate almond.
I think it tastes like cockroach
Dun ask me why, and I’ve never eaten cockroaches before.
But since last year, I fell in love with almond.
Almond jelly, almond milk, whatever almond desserts
I like~
I used to believe that old habits die hard
But now… …
So, some things do change afterall.
Still, there are more other things that I hang on to
And these, I firmly believe they won’t change.

One of my “sideline” is to be jie mei of weddings. Though there’s a saying that goes, if you play bridesmaid for more than three times, then you can’t get married off. But I dun believe in that! Anyway, it’s jie mei, not bridesmaid, and anyway I can’t turn back the clock, I’ve definitely played jie mei for more than three times, and more to come… …

How to be a successful jie mei ?

Try out the gatecrashing games personally.
ZY demonstrates.

What’s the biggest perk as a jie mei ?

Counting money. Shiok~

Presenting to you, 可爱五连拍, kawaii nei~!

Jie meis pretty in all expressions.

Thanks Ling for sharing the photos. There’s this one I really like.

My usual SMILE. That’s how I develop wrinkles, ha!

It’s my rare corporate look, if not for a photoshoot arranged by UniSIM for some new ad campaign. Hmm… looks abit too matured but I thought quite pro-looking actually, machiam like a lawyer? Hehe~

Very N.E.A.T hair.

I’ve killed quite alot of braincells recently, so this entry is just gona be candid… …

A friend bought presents for me during his trip to Hong Kong. One is a doraemon handphone accessory, which is super amazing! It’s like a puppet with its limbs made of strings and it will swirl when there’s radiation. But hor, the wierd thing is that if I purposely want to show my friends how it swirls, it just doesn’t work. At first, it only swirl before MY eyes, then it selectively functions to SOME of my friends. Gosh, what a temperamental cat. DUH~ Another is a fan. I love the the different emotions on his face!

喜。怒。哀。乐

Some weeks ago, I came across this guitar shop, I think it’s at the basement of Peninsula Plaza. And guess what?! I saw doraemon guitars!!! There are only 200 in the world, and only these two in Singapore, each costs S$800. They are COOL~

Limited edition of doraemon guitars!

It’s baby time! This year should be a very auspicious year, I’ve got like never ending weddings & baby showers to attend. Well happy occasions, I like… …

Baby Trisha is 1 month old!
Congrats to you guys, Weiqiang & Beibei. :)

It’s so convenient & creative nowadays. Buy online. Hassle free.

Oh btw I lurve to eat red eggs! Don’t tell me they are just hard boiled eggs. I don’t care, I just like the fact that the shell is red and I think it’s especially yummy because of that!! Yes.

Of course I have a sweet tooth too. Desserts make my day always!

You MUST try this ice cream. It’s located @Parkway Parade basement.

Don’t try WILL regret: Durian. Other must trys: Soursop and grape (there’re small bits of grape skin in it!) My friend told me the jackfruit flavour is also very good, but too bad it was sold out then. Peach and green tea not fantastic. If you really like a particular flavour, you can even buy home a tub!

Desserts from Canele. Pretty but not super delicious.

Haven’t been to East Coast Park for ages, so decided to join my friends when the jio-ed me. While they went roller-blading, I sat by the beach.

Soothing sea @ECP, but I still think it’s too crowded here.

Boliao-ly… My new sneakers bought at Quanzhou.

Dennes a.k.a. Fang Kong (放空) – This boy is my tong xue. He’s really sweet… When he went to Japan last month, he especially prayed for us that we do well for our exams and can say that we 美梦成真 lah.

Youyi a.k.a. Fang Shui (放水) – This chio bu is my tong xue cum tong shi and my best jie mei, who has been and is still going through thick and thin with me. C’mon jie mei, 一起加油吧!

Zhang Ying a.k.a Fang Pi (放屁) – That’s me. But hor, I dunno why I’m Fang Pi… Fang Kong got his nick because he always stone. Fang Shui got hers because she always go to the ladies. I dun… ahem. Always fart wat, even if I do, they won’t know! Ooooops~

We are always happy together!! “是我。是你吗?” (Private joke among the Fang gang) :p

While I was straightening my hair today (dun ask me why I went to the salon on the eve of my next exam paper), somehow I thought of many good old memories where I had some fun photoshoot sessions with my ex team-mates – the best team.

Great stylists and photographers at work.

It was truly enjoyable working with those professional stylists and photographers, like Lionel, Skye, Ivy, Ivan, Danny, Melissa, Jasmine etc.

Me and my jie meis never fail to self entertain and it’s always this part that is most unforgettable…

Looking at these old photos, oh gosh realised how much we’ve aged…
Oops I mean how we’ve transformed into prettier ladies.
:)

Girlies, how many photos have we taken together huh?
100, 500, 1000??!!!

This is my favourite ladies group shot, taken in I think 2006.

We thought this has quite a “desperate housewives” kinda feel~ HA!

Last photoshoot – 2007.

But sweet memories are forever…

First of all, the title has got nothing to do with the content. I just need to shout my happiness about finishing my last tutorial for this sem!! Actually my tutorials are quite fun, just that I always “hug the buddha’s leg” so always gan jiong to meet the deadline. Anyway, I’m preparing for exams now and this is the sickening part that I hate most about studying… I love going to school, attending classes, even enjoy working on my homework, but I just cannot stand exams! I hope no pimple breakout due to exam stress, if not I might just ki siao.

Anyway, check out the photos we took during our last lecture for Professional English Writing module:

Dennes, please get use to our camera-whoring in action! LOL

The studious ME!

Recently the weather has been so freaking hot that sometimes I wish I can just sleep in the fridge, provided there’s such a HUGE fridge. So since I cannot live in a fridge, at least I can lower my body temperature for a while by eating desserts!!

Feeling cooler?

Last week my dadang came back again, and we had fun catching up over steamboat then drinks. I love hanging out with these guys because they make me happy…

JY: Hey do you know why Jeff came tonight?
ZY: Because he has no other friends?
All *laughs*
J: No lah… At first I thot JY wans to have a heart to heart talk with me, then he said YY coming too and then he said ZY also, then I immediately agreed. It’s all becos of you…
I: Ya, that’s what he told me too!
ZY: *total disbelief* C’mon gia, try harder.

My dearest tong xue and my sweetest gia!

The more we get together, the merrier we’ll be~

How do you brighten up your day, knowing that there’s lots of work waiting for you to do… Hmm… Have a shiok breakfast! That’s life man.

Dress up, eat well and feel good!

There’s something I really really wana try… It’s the Singapore Flyer!!! I believe I can fly~

Yes I will get up there soon.
