October 2008

We braved through the cars and gates last Wednesday. Finally we got there. It was around 10.30pm and we were HUNGRY!!

JB, here we come again!
We gorged. Our all-time favourites: crayfish with cereal, sambal stingray,
oyster omelette, char kway teow, herbal chicken & baby squids.
The “free gift” dessert, coconut almond jelly was delicious and refreshing~

The satisfied us, thinking about of our next makan session. Hee…

Last Sunday, I woke up early reluctantly to accompany my Mummy for some activity that she has signed up for. But to my pleasant surprise, it was a refreshing trip, where we inch closer to the beautiful nature.

First stop, we went to a vegetables farm and being a veggie lover, I was so excited to see my favourite 苦瓜、奶白、菠菜 and many others freshly dancing in the air or blooming from the ground!

Me and my lovely 奶白, Mummy and her favourite soup ingredient 老黄瓜.
And check out this huge 白冬瓜!

Mummy just can’t get her hands off the fresh and juicy-looking 老黄瓜.

At first I thought the one on the left is bittergourd, until I saw
the real ones (on the right).
Didn’t managed to find out what’s the other veggie. I need a tour guide!!

Eh I thought it was a veggie farm, but there were flowers everywhere too.
And Mummy got all excited!!

My first experience in a vegetables farm.

They live in the cozy farm happily ever after. Aww, so sweeeeeet!

I eat this, drink this and put this on my face. Good for skin!

Next stop, we went to a pottery factory.

*Wah* I was quite shocked to see such a big “皮蛋缸”.

Beautifully crafted traditional Chinese tableware.

The final stop was a wheat grass (小麦草) farm, and there was this small supermarket where we bought some interesting foodies like wheat grass herbal jelly (小麦草龟苓膏), fresh black fungus, mushroom noodles and cactus.

Yes I really mean cactus, for cooking or boiling soup. Next day, Mummy cooked the cactus with eggs, and it tastes like crunchy and… sour?! Apparently, eating cactus can help to prevent cancer. In Mexico, the people consume cactus regularly, and Mexico has the lowest number of cancer cases in the world.

(Clockwise) 小麦草、黄金菇、发财菇、黑木耳.

We went home happily smelling fresh like vegetables, flowers and wheat grass. :)

Although it was a belated birthday celebration… Although the birthday gal, YY and I had two more tutorials to kill then… The crazy bunch still came together to party through the night last Friday at St James, hopping from one club to another. Boy, we were so tired when we went home at 3am, but we had SO MUCH fun!!

cheers1

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. 7 shots of Sex On The Beach for 7 great pals! CHEERS~

After eliminating all the ugly unglam shots, here’s a collage of our
boozing, dancing, crapping and kisiao-ing moments…

It’s been a long time since we last hung out like this. :)

Thirst for more booze? Who’s birthday is next huh?

By the way, divert abit here, I want to shout: YAY YAY YAY YAY… … I’m left with the last tutorial to work on for this semester. I’ve still some time to take a break before exams, and something to look forward to at the beginning of next month!

Thanks ladies for taking time off to share the joy with us (Kay was in the midst of crazy exams, YY my tongxue was working hard to meet tutorial deadlines just like me and Stella had a hectic day at work before that), and I’m sure my sister really appreciates your presence.

We were having great fun (self-entertaining) and making so much noise (as usual), so much so that I think my brother-in-law’s friends who were sitting at the table as us were so traumatised. By the end of the dinner, I guess they either turned dear or developed hallucination. Hahahaa~

It’s the jiemeis-gang in action again!

I kinda like this “fire of love” effect. Eh, but my silly friends and
cousin Cal thought this scenario looks like a cult gathering… DUH~

Always great to meet up with my jiemeis.
We have set our boozing date to be… WOW it’s tomorrow! Party time!

As promised, more pretty photos to share! Thanks to Stella for capturing these precious moments…

Me and my dearest mummy.

Self-take in suite.

Kiddo Covin inherited our crazy genes… Woho!!

All dressed up for my sister’s wedding. Ladies, thanks for coming!

Thanks to my cousin Cal, some behind-the-scene shots were captured during my sister’s big day. I was too busy and tired to go camera whoring, but luckily there were Jo, Cal, Stella and Kay taking photos as well. So, there are more pictures to come!

Marilyn is a great stylist, and she’s really fast!
(not sure if she wants her face to be published, so…)

(The emcees) waiting patiently for our turn to go up on stage.

I was THAT exhausted. I think I “crashed” on the floor (outside
the couple suite’s toilet) for about errr… 20 minutes.

Me (to Cal): Can you stop taking close-ups of me, I’m really tired!!
Cal *ignored and continued snapping*

A rare get-together other than CNY.
See, my dear nephew Covin is a big boy now!

Well I’m in a midst of a “hangover”, still in a kinda celebration mood. Though helping to prepare for the wedding was tiring, but I thought it was really fun and enjoyable too! Hmm… maybe I should consider to become a wedding planner.

But for now, I better get back to my tutorials. Three deadlines awaiting me in the next two weeks. DUH~

Beyond”

叶世荣有种“坏坏”的迷人吸引力。

有实力的永远不会被淘汰,“Beyond”就是如此。

0410 is my sister’s birthday and she got married on this day with her beloved, my bro-in-law Steven. Just like a fairy tale, they will live HAPPILY EVER AFTER

夫妻脸!

The night before there was the traditional “combing ceremony” (上头)
to shower the bride with eternal blessings in love.

The wedding car! I know what you’re looking at… the car plate heh!
Thanks to Leonard for lending out his precious “wife”.

Before the groom & brothers arrived, the sisters “combined powers”!
The pretty wrist corsages were specially selected by the bride.

I’m truly happy for you, sister…

Eating bananas, cracking his brains… *sweat sweat*
The groom “fought” his way to win his love.

It was not easy for the sisters too hor…

Finally *groom charged in*! But…
The groom still had to sing a love song aloud:
Nothing’s gona change my love for you~

The touching moment.

The brothers.

The sisters.

The Best, Elegant, Lovable, Impressive, Nice, Delicate, Amiable
BELINDA!

Birthday + Wedding = Double Happiness
Love gift + Lilo (doggie) = Double Surprises from bride to groom
