April 2008

A love story consists of…

A love quote

A love lunch

A love atmosphere

And some love candids

I’m so happy for you Sis. Looking forward to that happy BIG day!

Btw, I’ve further confirmed my reluctance to take those typical bridal photo shots when it’s my turn. Too tiring and I think the poses usually look quite staged. Well of course that’s for professional effects, but erm… Dear future hubby: Lets dress up and take some natural shots okies! (negotiable) Ha~

A “plot” that was planned one week ago…

No. No one proposed to me.
I was just the “love messenger”.

My sweet bro-in-law-to-be roped me into his proposal plan, together with two of his friends, and yes he knelt in front of everybody in Holland V’s NYDC, winning lotsa cheers & clappings, and of course his beautiful bride, my dearest sister!

Typical proposal line: Will you marry me?
Fairy tale sorta reply: Oh yes. *touched*

It was a night full of surprises. When we proceeded to Peng Yew & Ping Ping’s new house for some comfy chill out session, we gave Joanne a birthday surprise! And Leonard had his share too, a belated birthday present – his favourite wine.

Happy Birthday to Joanne & Leonard!

Oh and PY & PP’s new house is lovely, check out the colonial style living room, with a fire-place decor.

Angel fit corner *bliss*

The ever busy PP kept serving us food and drinks, she was even quite particular about the glasses that she used. These are pretty…

Hand-painted flower prints on glasses

Of course, what’s a chill out session without a group photo to capture the happy moment? Just call me “camera whore”!

C’mon folks get into your positions!

Preparing for a wedding is such a chore. I think my sister has gone for her bridal fitting for at least four times already. Haiz~ I’m thinking if it’s my turn, maybe I’ll think of an alternative to the usual photo-shoot.

Trial make-up session

Last fitting before her photo-shoot this Sunday

Last week, I hosted the NAFA 70th Founder’s Day dinner held at Marriott Hotel. I had a good time with my colleagues, and poor Travis was being manipulated by me in my typical self-photo taking craze!

Harlow boy, those roses should me MINE!

I specially went to style my hair for this event, all thanks to Ivy, I never have to crack my brains for my hair styling. Somehow, I miss my curls, but think I should keep my not-so-straight straight hair for awhile more.

Curl or not? My dilemma.

Have I ever introduced my pet pig on my blog before? Don’t think so. Anyway, he’s my dearest piggy, named Ben Zhu (which means stupid pig). HA!

My darling Ben Zhu

Can’t wait for my holiday. I’ll be going to Hong Kong after my exams. HONG KONG here I come!!! Not only will I meet my dadang there again, and this time round I’ll be able to catch susu, my dear friend who was posted to Hong Kong recently.

Farewell drinking for susu at WB.
Hey buddy, see you at Lam Kwai Fong soon!

Such a monthly affair is something I really look forward to. Good food, relaxed mood, great pals and enjoyable conversations…

The high tea buffet at Sheraton Tower Hotel is pretty good, The must-grabs are crayfish, oysters, sashimi and this chocolate pudding-looking dessert. Oh ya and the orange juice is yummy!

Cozy Sunday with dear friends

Cozy Sunday with dear friends

I was afraid that such sessions will make me put on a lot of weight, but at the rate we were laughing over funny conversations, I might even build some abdomen muscles heh.

CHEERS to more of such sessions!

No I didn’t disappear. I was just very busy, juggling my time between work, studies, play and minimum sleep.

I had ever thought: if there are more than 24 hours a day, then I can complete more tasks and I won’t feel so strangled by deadlines.

BUT, on second thought: the more time we have a day, the more things we have to work on, and so the more tired we’ll be… In conclusion, 24-hour is ENOUGH. In fact, more than enough to kill millions of brain cells. Argh!

So how do we make sure we don’t get killed by fatigue too easily?

Find fun bits in life, even at work!

Thank Buddha, I’ve colleagues who are mentally unstable like me… Our department is like a madhouse. Mad kinda of workload, mad crap conversations and mad shit frequency. Birds of the feather flock together. Flick, flak, flock~ Lalalalala… …

But even mad people have their glam moments too.

Ta da! The maddies attending Singapore Education Awards 2008,
all dressed up. Cool~

And I have this lunch khaki. At first she seemed very normal, and I thought, “Shat, will she call IMH and catch me back in again?” But my worries were redundant. I found out later that she was my “senior” from IMH. Muahahaha… …

Ying: Aiya that guy only looked good on stage leh,
and he’s short hor?
Sylvia: Oh ya hor! Hm… cannot make it lah.
(usual conversations between the san ba-s)

When you have to take a break, take a break. Like today, I’m on leave. YAY!!!
